Lending a Helping Hand: PIA Operates Special Flights to Evacuate Kabul Citizens

The national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to operate special flights to rescue citizens from Kabul. As the Afghan capital has now been captured by the Taliban and the president also fled the country, the state is left in the hands of the anti-government group. Pakistan has proved to be a friend in need and has decided to send Boeing 777 aircraft to the Afghan capital to bring citizens stranded in Kabul.

According to the sources, the national flag carrier’s special flight will be aboard today, August 16. Moreover, two of PIA’s aircrafts carrying 499 Afghans and Pakistanis have reached Islamabad on Sunday. Boeing 777 is carrying 329 passengers and Airbus 320 has 170 passengers have made safe arrival in Islamabad.
