Six more men have been arrested for the assault at the Minar-e-Pakistan incident as the victim has identified them to be allegedly involved. During an identity parade at Lahore’s Camp Jail, the victim recognized these men when she was presented men in 20 groups. The total number of arrested suspects is now 160. Meanwhile, the relatives of the alleged harassers started protesting outside the jail and stayed there all day.
According to the police, six men have been kept in separate cells to minimize their chance of interaction. The police will present the suspects before the court for the physical remand soon. Moreover, police have arrested some of the harassers with the help of geo-fencing and face matching technology.
