According to an AFP report on Wednesday, more than three billion people have been asked to stay at home in nearly 70 countries and territories as governments fight the corona virus pandemic gripping the globe.

Some of the countries concerned have implemented mandatory lock-down policies, including Argentina, Britain, France, India and Italy, as well as other US states. Some instituted curfews, quarantines and other measures for social distancing.

In most countries, going out for work, buying groceries and obtaining medical treatment are still possible.
