The National Command and Operation Centre has planned to lift the extra COVID-19 restrictions that had been imposed in six districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The cases of coronavirus are reportedly decreasing due to which the NCOC has taken this decision. The previous restrictions of the pandemic were enforced in 24 districts of Punjab, KP, and Islamabad however, now, only the general non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) will be enforced all over the country till Sept 30. The review of the situation will be analyzed on Sept 28.
The previous restrictions included the indoor gatherings and gym ban, closure of educational institutions, and intercity travel ban. The restrictions were imposed till Sept 12 and then extended till Sept 15.
