The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has agreed to increase the number of cattle markets throughout the country, but has reduced their size and introduced strict standing operating procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of Covid-19 during Eid ul Azha, whose payers will be organized on the Eid ul Fitr pattern to ensure social distance.
At its Lahore maiden meeting, the NCOC decided to establish some 700 cattle markets in the outskirts of cities around the country. There will be no cattle market permitted within any area. The markets will open from 6 am to 7 pm and it will be the responsibility of local authorities to ensure that visitors are monitored and that SOPs are followed up.
