The National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) is planning to impose lockdown in the list of twenty cities. The letter has been sent to the provincial government by NCOC to make preparations for a two-week lockdown starting from 2nd or 3rd May 2021.

The list has approximately twenty cities from all the four provinces such as Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad and Jammu Kashmir. The cities that are in a critical situation due to COVID-19 are specially targeted to impose restrictions and lockdown to curb the spread.

The mentioned cities in the letter are Faisalabad, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Peshawar, Mardan, Muzaffarabad, Dir Lower, Charsadda, Bhawalpur, and so on.

Moreover, PM Imran Khan has also hinted at the imposition of full lockdown in some cities. He has instructed the Federal Government to strengthen the food supply in case of a complete lockdown.
