Pakistan Day parade takes place in Islamabad today

Islamabad: The military parade that is accustomed to taking place every year on Pakistan Day was postponed due to the uncertain weather conditions. The parade 2021 is now taking place in Islamabad on 25th Mach 2021 at Parade Ground, Shakarparian hills.

The President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi is the chief guest at the event alongside the Defence Minister, Parvez Khattak, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza.

The fly-past of Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy inaugurated the event.

The president addressed the nation where he said that Pakistan should progress with peace but peace must not be mistaken for weakness. Moreover, Alvi acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces and assured that the government and the nation stand by them.

Furthermore, it is reported that the Prime Minister of the country Imran Khan was unable to attend the ceremony as he is observing quarantine at home for his Covid-19 positive test results.
