Pakistan expects to receive 19 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines

Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination stated that Pakistan is expecting 19 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to arrive by this year. In a press conference at National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Dr. Sultan confirmed that the government has signed the contract of a total of 30 million doses which the country will receive in phases.

Dr. Sultan said that 100 million population qualifies for the vaccines except for the age group under 18. He also mentioned that 90% of the vaccines are going to be purchased by the government to vaccinated 70 million people across Pakistan by the end of this year.
