Khurrum Mukhtar, Patron in Chief of the Pakistan Textile Exporters Association, has claimed that in September this year Pakistan will earn the highest textile orders for 2021. He blamed the shipping backlog in the United States for the delayed placement of further orders.
Mukhtar stated that pandemic is to be blamed for the labor shortages and buying surges during holidays. He also mentioned that 44 freight ships are waiting for their entrance in California to reach the largest ports that are responsible for one-third of the US imports.
He further added that the stakeholders have agreed that Pakistan’s export to the West will most probably not get affected by the drastic change in the exports.
