Pakistani officials visit virus-riven Wuhan to meet affected Pakistani students

Officials from the Embassy of Pakistan in China visited virus-struck Wuhan on Tuesday and met the four Pakistani students who had been infected by coronavirus.

The death toll from coronavirus epidemic rose to 1,868 on Tuesday following the death of 98 more people. Almost 72,500 people countrywide have been affected by the new COVID-19 strain of the virus.

Chinese authorities permitted a two-member special task force from the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing to meet the students and get first-hand information concerning their health and recovery.
