Pakistanis welcome Ramadan as the moon is sighted

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the Ramadan moon is sighted in Pakistan and the holy month is starting on 14.4.2021. The moonsighting committee for Ramadan was gathered in Peshawar in the presence of the chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad who declared that testimonies of moon sighting have been received from multiple places in the country as the sky was clear.

The provincial and district moon sighting committees when held a meeting together, witnessed that the crescent moon was quite apparent in Karachi, Islamabad, and Hyderabad.

The Ministry of Science and Technology had predicted that the first Ramadan of 2021 will fall on 14.4.2021.

Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan announced that this year mosques and ceremonies will remain open under strict COVID-19 precautionary measures.
