Peace can only be guaranteed through highest standard of preparedness: COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that peace can only be ensured through vigorous training, as well as the highest standard of preparedness in peacetime.

As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS comments came during his visit to the Thar Desert, near Chhor, where troops are taking part in a training drill called “Jidar-ul-Hadeed”.

The army chief observed the current training exercises where the working competence of field formations operating in the desert was being tested in a near-battlefield setting.
