Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the party will file former President Zardari’s bail petition on medical grounds, days after former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was permitted to fly abroad on bail plea for better treatment.
Zardari, 64, was arrested in June following the rejection of his bail application in connection with the case of fake bank accounts. The case concerns a massive money laundering scam that the Federal Investigation Agency had previously probed.
The leader of the PPP, Bilawal Butto announced while talking to the media where he said the party is going to file a bail plea for the ailing former president on medical grounds this Tuesday. He provided a supporting statement saying, “We do not trust Pakistani doctors.”
Bilawal Bhutto also revealed that the party had planned to hold a major event in Rawalpindi’s historic Liaquat Bagh, the place where she was assassinated in a gun-and-bomb attack on Dec 27, 2007. On the 12th anniversary of his mother’s death and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
