PM Khan frees Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme from taxes

Under the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved an exemption from sales tax and set construction tax declared Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.

The special assistant said the PM also approved the establishment of a mechanism to prevent adulteration of goods and services, speaking to the media on Thursday. “A committee has also been set up to control commodity prices,” she said.

Chairing a meeting to assess progress for low-income individuals on the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, the Prime Minister ordered the Federal Revenue Board (FBR) to withdraw sales tax from the housing project.
