Protestors attack Bahria Town Karachi, burning down shops and vehicles

Hundreds of protestors attacked Bharia Town Karachi and set ablaze the housing society, its shops, and vehicles. The protestors trespassed the housings society destroyed the barricades and forcefully entered the area. The properties of the society that were torched are a food joint, two estate agents’ offices, and a Suzuki car showroom.

The incident took place because the infuriated people had been forcefully removed from their ancestral lands however, the police managed to get rid of the protestors. The police used tear gas shelling and fired rubber bullets to get a hold of the situation.

The protestors have refused to accept the blame for the attack. They claim that the Bahria Town’s staff was holding the party flags and burned down the main gate.
