Nawaz Sharif on Thursday accused the government of using accountability as a tool to crush the oppositions.

At Kot Lakhpat jail, Nawaz Sharif was in conversation with his family members when they visited to inquire about his health.

He started this right after the day when PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah was arrested in Islamabad by the National Accountability Bureau.

He met Nawaz Sharif, Captain Safdar, and Junaid Safdar and discussed the political situation in the country. They discussed Al-Azizia reference appeal in Islamabad High Court and cases against Hamza Shehbaz, Maryam Nawaz and Yousuf Abbas.

Nawaz’s medical checkup was also carried out by his personal physician Dr. Adnan.

Shehbaz told Nawaz Sharif about the arrest of PPP Khursheed Shah’s arrest, upon which Nawaz said that the NAB is hostage to the government. He further added that the current government is using the institution to crush their political opponents.

Workers of PML-N showed up at Kot Lakhpat jail. For showing support they showered rose petals on Nawaz’s family members. Slogans in favor of Nawaz Sharif and his leadership were also raised.

Ahsan Iqbal advised Prime Minister Imran Khan to follow the footsteps of his ‘political cousin’ Dr. Tahirul Qadri and quit politics while speaking to the media representatives outside the parliament house, PML-N leader. According to Ahsan, politics is something that is beyond Khan’s capabilities.

He further taunted the PM “Sir, you have learned only one speech to deliver. Please try to avoid the same speech at the forthcoming UN session and say I shall not give an NRO,”
