On Wednesday, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Farogh Naseem said that public hanging of child rapists is against the Constitution.
Speaking to media in London, the minister said law allowing public hanging of child rapists will not be passed. Ruling out the impression of elimination of the government, Naseem said that the PTI-led government will complete its constitutional term of five years.
The minister said the government will not permit Maryam Nawaz to leave the country as she is convicted in the graft cases.
He said the government will move the Supreme Court, if Maryam was provided relief from the LHC, adding that Shehbaz Sharif is in London on the orders of the Lahore High Court.
Mr Naseem said the government was working hard for corruption-free Pakistan, adding that stringent action will be taken against the flour and the sugar mafias.
