Dr. Zafar Mirza, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant (SAPM) on National Health Services, tested positive for coronavirus, he confirmed on Monday in a tweet.
The PM ‘s assistant said he has minor symptoms and isolated himself at home.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi decided to enter self-quarantine on June 3, after testing Covid-19 for positive.
In a tweet, Qureshi said on Friday afternoon he felt slightly feverish, and quarantined himself immediately, saying he would continue to work from his residence.
He encouraged the masses to pray for early recovery.

The contagious disease was also diagnosed with former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Railway Minister Sheik Rashid Ahmed on June 8.
Sharjeel Memon, leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has tested positive for the contagion. Memon, who has served in the past as provincial minister, is the focal person for coronavirus at Hyderabad in the Sindh government.
Additionally, MQM legislator Shahana Ashar and Faisal Sabzwari fell prey to coronavirus.
In May, member of Punjab Assembly Shaukat Manzoor Cheema succumbed to the disease, after a month-long battle with the deadly virus.
MPA in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhel, and Sindh human settlement minister Ghulam Murtaza Baloch also lost their lives to the virus in the same week.
Four other members of the K-P Assembly, Faisal Zeb Khan, Salahuddin Khan, Zeenat Bibi, and Jamshed Khan, had also tested positive for the virus.
