Early morning a special Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight has been departed for Islamabad carrying 237 stranded Pakistanis in Jakarta.

Ambassador Abdul Salik Khan and a team of Embassy officials and staff saw off the passengers.

This has become the second such flight in the last 5 weeks. Earlier, 221 Pakistanis had returned from Indonesia to Pakistan, on 18 April 2020.

In different parts of Indonesia, about 450 Pakistanis were stranded due to flight cancellations and lockdowns in Covid-19.
