According to media reports, security forces have downed three suspected terrorists in an operation in Peshawar’s Hayatabad. It started on Monday night and has been going on since the last 13 hours.
Two people have reportedly been injured. A police man was shot dead as well in the exchange of fire.
The operation started immediately after the security agencies were informed that terror suspects have been hiding in a house in Hayatabad.
The suspects have been accused of attacking judges and AIG. KP Information Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that at least six to seven suspects are still present inside the house.
Two explosions were heard during the operation too.
The Peshawar police CCPO, who is leading the operation, told media that the operation has entered the final stage.
Movement of the suspects are being monitored by drone cameras.
Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood visited the area too.
