Keep it Clean on Eid-ul-Azha

Eid-ul-Azha brings joy everywhere. This festival is full of excitement for animals, the preparation of delicious meals, and quality time with family and friends. Unfortunately, our recklessness ruins this occasion with animals wastes, offals, disgusting odor, and blood flowing through the roads.

Sadly, there are no cleanliness drives that motivate people to keep their surroundings clean. Not only do the remains of the animals pollute the environment and the outlook of the city, but it is super hazardous to our health.

Instead of leaving the waste of sacrificial animals just about anywhere, here’s what you can do to keep your locality clean on Eid-ul-Azha.

1.      Get rid of the blood

You can’t avoid sacrificial animals’ blood on Bari Eid but you can clean it, right?

The blood when stays unattended on the floor thickens and takes more effort to clean out for which you need to be quick. As soon as you slaughter the animal and take the meat inside, clean the blood. Don’t let it flow because once it is absorbed in the ground, there is nothing you can do about it.

2.      Arrange a Slaughter House

Instead of sacrificing your animals in the middle of the street and contaminating your neighborhood, you can take your animal to the slaughterhouse. Pakistan is the country where you don’t see slaughterhouses around. So, together with your neighbors, you can dedicate land away from your residential area to the animal slaughter of the whole vicinity, and clean it as soon as your part is done.

3.      Keep Waste Materials Away

After sacrifices, the waste is very commonly seen lying outside the house or on the road. It is not only visually disgusting; the odor is equally gross. This year, talk to your neighbors to find a place away from your house and the main street where you all can keep the waste that can be picked up by the cleaning services from the government.

Cleanliness is the half of faith. Remember keeping it clean will eventually help you breathe clean and fresh air. With heavy rainfall hitting the country, our cleaning obligation may increase twofold and that’s where we have to prove to be responsible citizens.

Happy Safe, Clean, and Joyous Eid Mubarak to all of you!
