Sunny Leone Did Not Slap A Journalist

In Surat, Gujarat, for a college event titled ‘Play Holi With Sunny Leone’, the actress reportedly slapped an impertinent journalist for asking her a lewd question. Interviewing her in the corridor of her hotel, the reporter, from a national news channel, was said to have asked her: “You were a porn star earlier, now you are a film star. So how much do you charge now?”

When a stunned Leone asked him to repeat his question, the reporter was said to have further asked, “How much do you charge for a night program?”, which could be interpreted as a euphemism for prostitution. The actress immediately slapped the journalist in front of hotel staff and visitors and went back to her room. This news report was picked up several websites, including DNA, India Today, and Hindustan Times.

Her husband Daniel Weber was quoted by mid-day as saying: “Sunny has given an apt reply to the reporter so we are not filing any police complaint. The organisers were also college kids so we do not want their careers to be damaged. But henceforth, Sunny will think a thousand times before coming to Gujarat.”

However, when HuffPost India called up Weber to clarify a few details, he rubbished the entire thing. “That story is complete and utter nonsense,” he said, over phone. “We’ve called up mid-day about it, and they’ve told us they’re going to issue an apology for publishing a completely false story.”
