Changan Oshan – 2021
One of the largest automotive groups in China, Changan Oshan, is set to step into the sedan segment of Pakistan’s booming automobile market. Debuted in China in 2019, the company is testing three sedans for the local market, with one of them being the Oshan X7. CBU units of Oshan X7 has been imported in Karachi, so it’s hoped that this SUV will be officially launched shortly. The specs still haven’t been divulged yet, but it’s likely to make it big in the fiercely competitive industry.
Proton X50 – 2021
In collaboration with Al-Haj Group, Malaysian automobile company, Proton, is set to launch its third car in Pakistan. It’s a B-segment SUV that is actually a rebadged Geely car. The company launched the X50 SUV in Malaysia in October last year, and the car made it big there. In just 4 months since its launch, Proton has delivered over 11,000 units of X50 and is still striving to meet the local demand. Globally, the car is available in four variants: Standard, Executive, Premium, and Flagship. News is rife that Proton is poised to launch this car in Pakistan as well, which is good news for car lovers shackled in the monopoly of expensive Japanese cars.
MG ZS EV – 2021
The ZS EV, another exciting addition in the growing automotive industry of Pakistan, is a powerful car that comes with a 44.5 kWh battery and an auto CVT transmission. The company says that ZS can travel up to 262 kms in a single charge. The SUV is also equipped with rear and front aero wipers and electrically modifiable and body-color side mirrors. The car system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and comes with an 8-inch screen. This model also has 4-speaker and 6-speaker audio systems, along with Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to rear parking cameras.
