Arshad Nadeem when stepped into the Stadium on Javelin Throw finale had the burden of hopes and expectation. The 24 year old couldn’t win the medal and ranks 5th but he became the first athlete from Pakistan to get qualified for the Tokyo Olympics finale.
India’s Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal and Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch and Vitezslav Vesely won silver and bronze medals respectively.
Nadeem threw 82.91m while opening and 81.98m in the second round. Neeraj threw 87.58m in the opening round and that was substantial for him to be the winner.
