Shahid Afridi responds to news of engagement between his daughter, Shaheen Afridi

In the wake of rumors that started doing the rounds on social media on Saturday, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has finally responded to news of his daughter’s engagement to cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Afridi, while downloading the news, said that discussions are under way.

“Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch, matches are made in heaven, if Allah wills this match will be made too,” he said.

“My prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success on and off the field,” Afridi added.
