After a nearly six-hour outage of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has sent out an apology for the server down that kept 3.5 billion users from using these platforms. On his official page, he wrote, “Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger are coming back online now. Sorry for the disruption today – I know how much you rely on our services to stay connected with the people you care about.”
Moreover, in a statement on Twitter, WhatsApp also acknowledged the problem and said, “Thank you to everyone around the world today for your patience while our teams worked diligently to restore WhatsApp. We truly appreciate you and continue to be humbled by how much people and organizations rely on our app every day.”
This is one of the biggest global outages. The company blamed it for the change in faulty configurations.
