Upon displaying objectionable content on TikTok, PTA (the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) has blocked access to 500,000 distasteful videos on the application.

TikTok is widely used all across the world and is banned in Pakistan for showing unpleasant content. In a recent court heart, the PTA lawyer, Jahanzeb Mehsud told Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan that he has been in talks with the app owner.

In the hearing, the court has ordered that the ban from the video-sharing app will not be lifted unless the content is filtered of the immoral content.

The Chief Justice believes that the app should only be consumed for entertainment and must not permit any objectionable material that is against the code of our religion.

However, in the views of Jahanzeb Masud, it is a matter of concern for the nation and there should be serious steps taken to fix the petition.
