Your smartphone data is shared every four and a half minutes

The latest study by The Trinity College Dublin has highlighted the privacy issues concerning smartphones’ data. The study revealed that android and iOS share data of every user to their parent companies every four and a half minutes.

According to the studies, iOS is not more secure than Google devices. As Google devices send 1MB handset data, Apple phones send 52KB of handset data.

According to Prof Leith, the devices collect data from the handset as well as from the handsets nearby. With the help of Wi-fi’s MAC address, Apple can track the people located close to you and at what time which is quite alarming.
