The owner of Karachi Kings, Mr Salman Iqbal said on Thursday that the fourth season of Pakistan Super League is 100 times better than the previous three editions of the glittering league.
“PSL 4 is better than the previous seasons in terms of revenue, viewership and players profiling,” Mr Salman Iqbal said while talking to media officials at the National Stadium Karachi.
Mr Salman Iqbal said all the world-class players are ready to tour Pakistan, only the injured players such as AB de Villiers are not featuring the Pakistan leg of the PSL, otherwise all the players, including Shane Watson is touring the country after 14 years for remaining of the tournament.
“It will be good, when international cricket is played in the country, it becomes a big motivation for the youngsters,” he said. “Four years ago, our youngsters had moved away from cricket and adopted football and other sports, now they are all coming back and that too with great enthusiasm.”
It will be a dream come true for the owner of Karachi Kings to see his team play the all-important final of the league on March 17 at the National Stadium Karachi.
“I just visualize how long it will take for me to run from there to here,” said the owner while pointing to the enclosure and the ground. “I will have to do a bit of practice of it on the morning of March 17 [final day],” he said with a smile.
“I pray to GOD, may he grant us the win in our city,” he further said.
